On Thursday 27 February, the hall of the MED building at EPFL was filled with complex, bold and innovative sounds during the evening of performances entitled Orpheus’s Machines: Music, Thought and Technology! Led by Jonathan Impett, co-curator of the Musica ex Machina exhibition, artist-researchers from the Orpheus Instituut in Ghent unveiled their technological creations and experimental instruments to an absorbed audience, the fruit of their research into the interconnection between humans and machines in the creation of music.
