Amplifier for Art, Science and Society

Shapes Symposium

On 12 February 2025, the symposium held in conjunction with the exhibition Shapes: Patterns in Art and Science brought together a wide range of speakers from different academic, scientific and artistic backgrounds to discuss three themes: "Archetypes in Art and Mathematics", "Art, Mathematics and the Art of Mathematical Mediation" and "Shapes in Nature". To round off a day rich in discussion, Professor Marilyne Andersen gave a presentation on the importance of fostering the interconnection of art and science for the academic world.
