EPFL Pavilions is happy to announce its rich agenda of events for the month of November. From exploring the “Deep Fakes: Art and Its Double” exhibition via free guided tours for the general public, special visits for the EPFL and UNIL communities, evening round table debates over a drink, to video premieres for the “In Conversation” series, we have a lot to keep you entertained on-site and online.

Free guided tour of the “Deep Fakes: Art and Its Double” exhibition, at the end of which we are offering a complimentary vegetarian lunch to all participants.
This event is for EPFL and UNIL #staff only. Booking is mandatory.

Nov 4 – 6 PM – In Conversation - online premiere
The conversation will explore Christian Mio Loclair's groundbreaking work, Helin, part of the Deep Fakes: Art and Its Double exhibition, the original #deepfakes, the student-teacher learning system G.A.N., 3D G.A.N's, and the natural evolution and expansion of art into the Metaverse.

Once per month, a member of our team will guide you through our exhibition Deep Fakes: Art and Its Double, on an adventure through far-off lands of art, archaeology and cutting-edge technologies.
Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time.

  • 6:15 PM – “Reflections on Digital Art” discussion with Nathalie Dietschy, UNIL and Isaac Pante, UNIL, at Satellite Bar. Join us for lively conversation and a free drink as we dive deeper into the #deepfakes topic.

Guided Visit - Arabic - book here
Free guided visit of Deep Fakes: Art and Its Double offered in Arabic led by researcher Khaled Alsaleem. He will help our Arabic-speaking visitors discover the digital replicas of cultural heritage sites and objects from Palmyra, Syria, through the work of EPFL and UNIL scientific community.

Nov 18 – 6 PM – In Conversation – online premiere
Terry Kilby documented a piece of contemporary history and its transformation as it evolved from the Confederate monument of General Robert E. Lee to a site of protest for the Black Lives Matter movement, after the killing of George Floyd in 2020. The conversation touches on drones, heritage, preservation, racism, and future of culture in the digital space. Join us for the premiere on Nov 18.
